Speed and stability both matter
Recommended Internet Speed for 4K Streaming
The practical internet speed for 4K streaming depends on compression, the player and other devices using the same connection. As a starting point, reserve about 25 Mbps or more for each active 4K stream and keep additional capacity available for phones, computers, gaming and downloads.
For HD streaming, around 10 Mbps per active stream can be a useful starting point. These are planning targets rather than guarantees: a stable lower-latency connection can perform better than a faster connection with packet loss or weak Wi-Fi.

How to Get a More Consistent Signal
Test at the television: run the speed test on the streaming device or in the same room, not only beside the router.
Prefer Ethernet: a wired connection reduces interference and is often the most reliable option for a fixed television.
Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi nearby: it can provide higher speeds than 2.4 GHz, although the range is shorter.
Leave spare bandwidth: do not plan a 25 Mbps 4K stream on a connection that delivers exactly 25 Mbps while the rest of the household is active.
Check router placement: avoid closed cabinets, thick walls and positions near devices that create radio interference.
